      Heidi graduated from Columbia College of Chicago in 2002 and received a BFA degree is Dance, specializing in teaching and performing.  After graduating she danced and choreographed for numerous modern dance companies.   She received her Pilates certification in 2003 at From the Center Pilates in Chicago. In 2014 Heidi received a Master’s certification from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado. Heidi teaches Classical Pilates method, by design is a biomechanical and anatomically principled method fused with a repertoire of structured exercises.  She worked from 2002 to 2007 at The East Bank Club. Since 2008 Heidi has been the executive manager at Riverwest Fitness Studio.  Heidi has taught pilates for over 13 years and works with a variety of people from pre/post natal and injured clients to elite athletes, she can personalize a program to your specific needs. A session with Heidi has the perfect combination of physicality and relaxation.

      Charlie brings a unique perspective and a keen eye to all of his sessions.

      Charlie received his Pilates training through Core Dynamics Pilates under the tutelage of Michelle Larson and Margarette Raymond.  His Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis training was guided by master teachers Juergen Bamberger and Leda Franklin.

      Charlie is a professional modern dancer.  He began his dance career by founding the Chicago Dance Crash and currently is a member of Same Planet Different World Dance Theater.  As a dancer, Charlie brings a unique perspective and a keen eye to all of his sessions.

      Annette received her certification from The Frog Temple, where she learned classic Pilates form. She has been teaching for 14 years now, and is passionately committed to the empowerment of mind, body and spirit that Pilates offers.

      Annette considers herself lucky to have found Pilates and she aims to share the power of it to transform lives with as many people as she can. She has successfully transformed herself from a 190lb couch potato to her ideal weight and learned to find stability. Her teaching style is an all-embracing, compassionate approach that truly understands what it’s like to be a beginner at something, while also fueling the challenge to a better body.

      These days, she incorporates yoga, barre work, TRX Suspension Training, and Muscle Activation Technique into sessions, all disciplines she has received training in. She believes it is crucial to the integrity of the body that we seek out and correct imbalances that prevent us from utilizing our full potential. Her knowledge base of anatomy and biomechanics together with the experience she has working with rehabilitating clients, the senior population, expectant and new moms, and teenagers make her an excellent choice to guide your journey to optimum health.

      Angie Palomo was introduced to Pilates as a dance student in 2003.  She knew after a couple of semesters that Pilates would be the career she would choose.  She saw the transformation in her own body and is passionate about helping others find the same connection within their own bodies.  After graduating with a BA in dance at Columbia College, she eventually completed a comprehensive teacher-training program on all apparatus through Power Pilates in Chicago. She completed over 600 internship hours in 2009, and continues to educate herself to challenge her students.  Angie has found that movement and Pilates have assisted in healing her own back issues and pain. Through an understanding of whole body functional movement and how this movement can heal, she is passionate about helping others to learn this new language for the body.  She understands that attention to detail and focus on the client is imperative for their progression therefore tells you what to think and do instead of showing you, but will demonstrate as a last resort.  In addition, Angie continues to dance independently as a contact improvisational dancer and as an understudy for Khecari Dance.

      I have always been involved in sports my entire life and as I was a journalism student, I joined the co-ed soccer team and began training competitively in boxing and muay thai.  While getting ready for my first golden gloves boxing match, I was interning at 103.5 Kiss FM and a show on NBC when I was told by a few of the employees that my dedication inspired them to want to get in shape. In fact, they asked me to train them. I told them I had absolutely NO experience with training someone and all I knew was how to train myself, but they did not care and kept insisting. With that being said, I took on the challenge and started experimenting with exercise programming and nutrition.  After a few sessions, I realized just how much I fell in love with helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.

      My passion for living a healthy lifestyle and helping others do the same just kept growing. After I graduated from Columbia College Chicago, I decided to completely switch careers to becoming a fitness professional.

      After receiving my certifications, I started out at a corporate gym, but felt that the focus of the gym was all about making money and not enough about the client’s needs.  Within only 8 months, I ended up taking the risk and left the security of the gym in order to create Moirai Health and Fitness in order to dedicate my complete time and effort to helping my clients change their lives for the better.
